Hi,

TradeSharkBlog

I’m Paul. I have been trading tennis on Betfair since about March 2008. I was frustrated by the fact that no-one would help me even on the smallest question. This blog wasn’t originally even supposed to be a blog. I wanted something that I could updated easily with match tips for my site at www.tradesharktennis.com .

As you’ll see from the site I am a trader, not a web designer! The site was put together in a couple of days so I could go live for Wimbledon. I intend to develop it as I go into a more professional looking site.

The site was set up for me to continue helping newbie tennis traders. If I can save them the time I wasted learning everything from scratch then it will be a success :-)

I’m a typical Yorkshireman as you’ll see from my no nonsnse approach to trading, teaching trading and life. I have little time for free loaders who want everything done for them but if someone makes an effort to help themselves they will get my help, advice and respect.

I was brought up to have very strong ideas of right and wrong and of how things should be done. That extends to my blog and website www.tradesharktennis.com . Comments will be moderated but I welcome criticism as long as its constructive. Abuse will not make it onto the site. If you think I’m a tosser, why are you reading my site?

I am constantly developing my own trading and from now on these ideas will be included on my site rather than someone elses!

The daily match tips are based on the analysis that I do for myself. I played tennis to a decent standard when I was younger and am constantly surprised at how accurately I can read a match in-play. This is obviously a huge advantage when trading!

I hope my posts are of use. If not, tell me what you would like to see and I will do my best to accomodate :-)

  1. Hiya mate. Have been looking to PM you for a bit on the forum but never saw you around. Obviously now I can understand why now!

Just stumbled across your website from the old place. Thought it was odd that I hadn’t seen you around there for a while! It’s a shame that some idiots drove you away from there (for us genuine traders), but it was always likely to happen I suppose. I keep expecting someone to chastise me for the RL thread I keep creating, but I guess someone would have to read it first!

Anyway, I hope things are still going well for you. Judging by the blog and the website, they sure seem to be, and once again thanks for the advice that you were able to give to me earlier on in the year. Are you keeping up with the RL at all? Or have you got enough success going with your tennis and cricket now!

Not sure whether this will show up directly or whether it will go through to you first. If so, feel free to contact me directly, you have the mail address above, or alternatively reply on here.

Would be good to hear from you!

    All the best.

  2. Hello again Paul

I trust your trading is going well, and your ebook venture for that matter.

I haven’t got round to trying the tennis again. I spent last month continuing to get to grips with the nags and failing. I’ve stopped and returned to the dogs. Looking to expand into other areas and tennis looks an obvious choice.

I’ve got a request/proposal for you. You might be too busy, especially with your involvement in the new Bet72 site, but no harm in asking. Could you email me and I’ll let you know?

    All the best.

  3. Hi Paul,

I’m new to trading and I think it is great their are people like you who are willing to help out the ‘newbies’!. i hope in time I will be able to contribute with some ideas of my own on trading. You seem to have your hands full with all that you are doing at the moment. Where is the best place for me to get tips and ideas..other than your blog of course!

    Regards

  4. Hi Paul,
trading tennis is still a bit foreign to me but I read your blog daily and i think i’m learning fast thanks to the mine of info/strategy’s and pointers that you (and streetlight)have made readily available to greenhorns like myself.
having previously only been interested only in football trading, I’m now hoping to expand my knowledge of tennis to the point where i can hopefully offer some worthwhile contributions to the RT forum rather than just questions, questions, questions!
Anyhow, just want to express my gratitude. :)
